Common Beliefs Of LCD TV's
When it comes to LCD TV's there are many common beliefs that need to be made clear and some of them are seen more as true facts than beliefs with as much as people say them. First of all before I get into the common beliefs of LCD TV's I want to make sure you understand that a LCD TV is a highly sophisticated piece of technology and because of that the costs can be much higher than a regular rear projection TV or a tube.
The first thing that many people believe to be true is that the LCD TV has a strong chance that it will drip and therefore causing an electrical fire. The only reason people think this is true is because LCD stands for liquid crystal display. What people don't know is that liquid crystals aren't actually liquid, the term is used to define the class and way the crystals are made. These crystals are then used to shine a current through them and display colors on the LCD screen. If you have every wanted to know why a LCD TV takes a little bit to reach its full potential then this is why, it is simply warming up the crystals.
Another belief is that some LCD HDTV's won't last as long as a tube simply because of their technology and this is wrong. LCD TV's will last much longer than a tube and a lot longer than a plasma TV. The reason LCD TV's will last longer is because the crystals are made to withstand a lot of use and because of that will provide up to 60,000-85,000 hours of use. If you do the math that would be about 7 years watching it every second of the day but if you only use it 6 hours per day like most people do then you will have at least 28 years out of one LCD TV.

The last most common belief that people have about LCD TV's is that they won't be able to see the picture clearly if they aren't sitting directly in front of it and this use to be true but not anymore. The reason this use to be true was because LCD technology wasn't always what it is today, there was a time where the LCD method wasn't working the way that investors wanted it to. Now days you can sit about 165 degrees off the center line of the LCD TV and still see it crystal clear. The only problem with this belief is that people are still thinking that they have to get a wall mount in order to change the direction of their TV when in reality they don't have to.
Knowing these few common beliefs is a huge benefit for you because so many people pass up great opportunities to own one simply because of these. Can you do me a favor and whenever you hear somebody talking about one of these common misconceptions will you please set them straight. It is the people who don't know the facts that are ruining this exceptional technology for the rest of us.
